Unique Liveries

Its been a while since I've updated the site but thought I'd post the start to this topic, It'll be updated as time permits, but here is the start to it.
Unique & small run liveries of Diesel & Electric locomotives in the Government Era 1951-1997 (pre mass privatisation of the state systems)
QGR (QR)
1965 - QR Centenary Livery applied to 1281 & 1461
Similar to the standard QR Blue/grey livery although Gold replaced the blue.

1988 - Australian Bicentennial livery applied to 1723, 2401 & 3136
A number of state systems chose selected locomotives to be painted up for the Australian Bicentennial Celebrations, QR chose 3 units. The livery was mostly white with Green & yellow lining.




NSWGR (NSWR, SRA, Freight Rail)
1970 - Indian Pacific Livery applied to 4436, 4440, 4442 & 4457
A scheme was designed and was a simified version of the then standard Indian red for use on the Indian Pacific the new transcontinental train, although they were not used on this new train, and shortly afterwards repainted back to the standard livery.
1980 - 125th Aniversary of the NSWGR 1955-1980, 2 units were selected by the Railway workshops 4201 at Chullora & 4836 at Cardiff.
These 2 units were painted in a Green & Yellow livery for the celebrations. 4836 retained this livery till after passing into private hands in 1994 & 4201 still carries a variation of this scheme in Preservation at the NSWRTM Thirlmere.
1988 Australian Bicentennial livery applied to 42218, 48165, 8010, 8040, 8120, 8172, 8604 & 8619


1989 - SRA metroplitian Scheme applied to 4901, 4902, 4905, 7344, X101 & X216
1991 - Freight Rail Trackfast livery (Stealth Scheme) applied to 8167, 8172, 8601 & 8602
Various years - The X100 & X200 Rail tractors often recieved unique liveries at each of their respective depots, some are listed below
X201, X205, X206 Yellow/Black
X202 - Blue/White
X202 - Yellow/Green
X206 - Black/Red/White (Cardiff), RSA green/white (Chullora), UGL white/blue (Chullora)

VR (VicRail, V/Line)
1988 - Australian Bicentennial livery applied to A66


SAR/CR/TGR (ANR, AN)
1988 - Australian Bicentennial livery applied to ZA6

WAGR (Westrail)
1985 - Westrail White - L268
1985 - Westrail Blue - L268
